Marion Palace Theatre management is pleased to announce the 2012 Academy Award Nominee for best picture film Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (PG-13) will be shown on February 24, 25 and 26 at the Marion Palace Theatre.  Show times are Friday at 7:30 pm, Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm and Sunday at 7:30 pm.

The dramatic film is based on the novel by author Jonathan Safran Foer.  Fandango.com describes Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close as a movie about "A young boy, Oskar (Thomas Horn), who lost his father (Tom Hanks) in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, is convinced that his dad left a final message for him somewhere in the city. Upon finding a mysterious key in his father's closet, Oskar sets out in search of the lock it fits.  Feeling disconnected from his grieving mother (Sandra Bullock) and driven by a tirelessly active mind, Oskar has a journey of discovery that takes him beyond his loss and leads to a greater understanding of the world."

Movie tickets at the Marion Palace Theatre are offered as follows:  $4.00 adults, $3.00 seniors ages 62 years and older and $2.00 children ages 12 years and younger.  Concession items are available for patrons:  $1.00 candy, $1.50 for soft drinks and $1.50 for popcorn.

Movie tickets may be purchased at the Palace Theatre door, 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion forty-five minutes before movie show time.
