Palace Theatre offering workshop providing tips and tricks to auditioning

Marion Palace Theatre Executive Director Bev Ford has gathered three theatre veterans, Clare Cooke, Dee Ehrman and Kristi Wink, for two Theatre Audition Workshops which will take place at the Palace Theatre located at 276 West Center Street in downtown Marion.

Participants will learn the do’s and don’ts of auditioning, choosing the right song, presenting a proper headshot and resume, how to perfect cold readings, the steps to take after the audition and more valuable tips and information.

This is a hands-on, informative 2-part workshop led by the experts. Part 1 will be offered on Tuesday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants may enroll for either date. Attendees to both Part 1 workshops will return for a combined mock audition on Monday, May 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Those interested in attending are asked to contact the Marion Palace Theatre Box Office (740) 383-2101 no later than April 16 to enroll in either workshop. Workshop fee is $25.
