Debra Sue Stapleton ViersDebra Sue Stapleton Viers, age 47, of Marion passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 27, 2014.  She joined her beloved mother and grandparents at the gates of heaven!

Debbie was born August 28, 1966 in Marion, OH to Lonnie V. and Martha J (Haubert) Stapleton.  She was a lifelong resident of Marion.

Debbie was an extremely loving and compassionate woman, with a heart of gold.  She was always found with a smile on her face and gentleness in her heart. She touched the lives of all she met her with joy and laughter.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and spent much of her time caring for her family.  She was a best friend to her son and daughter.

Debbie shared her wonderful qualities while working with people, as a state tested nurse aid, for many years at Presidential Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Debbie graduated from Marion Harding and Tri-Rivers Career Center in 1984.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Jane (Haubert) Stapleton and grandparents, Roy and Eva (Stoneburner) Stapleton and William James Sr. and Hazel (Harper) Haubert.

Debbie  is survived by her father, Lonnie V. and step-mother, Mary Jane (Parsons) Stapleton, of Marion; husband, William C. Viers Jr.; daughter, Brittney Jane (Gary L. Gamble) Viers; son, William C. “CJ” (Tabitha J. Blanton) Viers III all of Marion; sisters, Kathy M. (Squeak, a very special brother in law) Jordan, Peggy S. (Bill) Boyd of Bartow, Florida; step-sisters, Michelle (Randy) Myers of Galion, OH, Chrissy (Alan) Hankins of Cardington, OH; step-brothers, Rodney (Brenda) Culver of Prospect, OH, Scotty (Ginger) Culver of Marion, Kenny Ray (Jenny) Sounders of Decatur, Indiana; grandson, Devon, Carson, Trey, Kyler, Connar and Kaiden; granddaughters, Nevaehonia and Breawnah and a soon expected grandchild, Peanut; and several nieces and nephews, one great niece, Savannah, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The Earthly world has lost one of the best, but heaven had gained a beautiful Angel.  Forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 10AM until noon on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 where funeral services will be held at noon with Pastor Grover Caudill officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
