Howard J.R. King, age 62, of Circleville. Ohio went home Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Ohio State University Hospital East in Columbus, Ohio
Howard was born June 16, 1952 to the late Percy Lee and Annie Mae (Owens) King in Leighton, Alabama. Howard proudly served in the United States Army where he completed one tour of duty in Vietnam.
Howard is survived by siblings; Willie (Laura) King, Donnie Braddy and David (Cynthia) King, all of Marion, Gail V. King of Columbus, Leon (Donna) Braddy of South Carolina, his children; Rev. Ricky (Genatry) Ball and Antonio ( Lynn ) King, both of Marion Ohio, Bayon (Angela) Ball of Mansfield, Ohio, Charprintha King of Marion Ohio, Kameecia (William) Clegg of Beallsville Ohio, Tennilla (Joel) Barnet and Leona Kelley, both of Oklahoma, 23 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Service of Homecoming will be celebrated Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 5:00 PM at Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church. His family will be receiving friends beginning at 3:00 PM Thursday at the church. Burial with military honors will be held Friday, October 10, 2014 at Dayton National Cemetery.
Contributions in Howard’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The Hughes-Allen Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for his family.
