Minnie Marie Medley-Compton, age 85 passed away October 9, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in Circleville to the late Noah Paxton and Dora (Weaver) on March 9, 1929. She grew up on Goose Creek in the Hocking Hills area.
Minnie enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and listening to music. She loved her outings to Walmart and was a yard sale enthusiast. She was a member of the Caledonia Church of Christ.
She was twice married – Vencil Medley and Clyde R. Compton preceded her in death.
Minnie is survived by her sons Vencil W. (Debbie) Medley of Green Camp, Robert H. (Betty Jo) Medley of Marion, Bill (Sue Ellen) Compton of Galion, Paul (Donna) Compton of Johnsville, David (Mary) Compton of Caledonia; daughters Barbara J. (David) DeLauder of Marion, Sharen (Larry) Hunt of Marion, Charlie (Harvey) Musser of Cardington; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services for Minnie will be held on Monday October 13th at 11:00 in the morning at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home with Russell Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Caledonia Cemetery. Calling hours will be October 12th from 6-9 at the funeral home.
