Maud Marie (Beltz) Higgins, 68, of Marion

Maud Marie (Beltz) Higgins took her last step here on this earth and into Heaven surrounded by her loving family at home on November 19, 2014 at 4:20 AM.

Maud was born to Ivarene Mae (Mattison) and Lester Paul Beltz on November 4, 1946 in Marion, Ohio. They preceded her in death.

She met the love of her life, Floyd T. Higgins in 1959. They married on May 29, 1965. Floyd survives at home in Marion.

They had four children, Tina (Kenny) Tuttle of Orlando, Fl., Floyd (Diane) Higgins II of Caledonia, Oh., Jason Allen Higgins who has watched for his Mommy for 42 years, Angel (Jonathan) Smith of Marion, Oh. Another child awaited her arrival also.
Maud was a loving Grandma and will be greatly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Bill” Beltz and Albert Beltz, one sister, Phyllis Clark, one niece, Kathleen Blackburn, sister in law, Phyllis Beltz and a brother in law, Sanford Malone.

Mrs. Higgins is survived by four brothers, Samuel (Marilyn) Beltz of Marion, Oh., Raymond (Blanche) Beltz of New Bloomington, Oh., Paul (Peggy) Beltz and David (Tammy) Beltz of Albertsville, AL., one sister, Jane Malone of Marion, Oh. Numerous nieces and nephews whom were all dear to her heart and she spoke of often.

Maud was a member of Open Bible Enterprise Baptist Church for over 27 years where she worshiped and served the Lord. Her greatest accomplishment was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She loved to cook, clean and sew and was an inspiration to all. Earth has lost a precious jewel of infinite value and Heaven is all the more rich and beautiful then ever before because of it.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 from 11 – 1 PM at Open Bible Enterprise Baptist Church, 1525 Bellefontaine Ave. Funeral Services will begin at 1 PM at the church with Rev. Delmar Marks officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
