Paul D. Jarvis, Sr. age 58 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Saturday November 1, 2014 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born June 3, 1956 in Ironton, Ohio. His parents, Lonnie and Lena (Robinson) Collins preceded him in death.
On December 23, 1977 he married Deborah L. Jones and she survives.
Paul was a big Ohio State Buckeye Fan. He also loved coon hunting, camping, and fishing. But most of all, Paul dearly loved his family.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind two daughters and a son; Amy L. (Terry) Carswell, Heidi L. Russell, and Paul D. Jarvis, Jr. all of Marion, Ohio, and eight grandchildren survive as well. Paul also leaves behind a host of other family; a sister, Hilda Jarvis, six brothers; Robert (Rosella) Jarvis, LeRoy (Joanne) Jarvis, Tim (Tammy) Jarvis, Billy Jarvis, Ricky (Yolanda) Jarvis, William Jarvis, step-sister, Brenda Collins, step-brother, Dave (Lorie) Harrison, numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Robert Geisinger, mother-in-law, Emma Hornsby, sister-in-law, Brenda (J.D.) Smith, and brother-in-laws, Carl (Karen) Jones, and Earl (Debbie) Jones.
Along with his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Cole, a grandson, two step-brothers; Gary Henry, Lonnie Collins, Jr., and a sister-in-law, Karen Gamble.
There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 8:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dwight Hord. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service from 6 to 8 P.M. Friends are asked to where their scarlet and gray Wednesday evening as it would have certainly brought a big smile to Paul’s face.
