David Lucas Gresh, age 60, of Marion passed away Wednesday August 26, 2015 at his home with his loving wife at his side.
David was born on Sunday October 17, 1954 to the late John J. and Pauline M. (Glovinsky) Gresh in Port Clinton, Ohio and was the youngest of 10 children.
He was a 1972 graduate of Danbury Local Schools in Lakeside, Ohio.
David worked as a shipper for Marion Power Shovel for 23 years and the past 18 years at Arcelor-Mittal.
David married Tilly Dietrich on Friday April 25 1997. Together with the love of his life and best friend Tilly, they shared 21 years together.
With having a love for classic cars, David was a member of the Marion Flywheels car club. He enjoyed attending car shows and working on his own classic cars. He was also a member of the local Moose Lodge 889.
David will be dearly missed by his lovely wife Tilly Gresh; step-sons Doran Jr. (Cathy Jo) Plumley and Shayne Plumley; Step-grandsons Ashton (Susie) Plumley and Garret Plumley; Brothers Ernie (Shirley) Gresh of Port Clinton and Jim (Ruth Ann) Gresh of Marblehead; Sisters Nadine Black of Cridersville, Paula (Jim) Hough of Prospect, and Becky (Dave) Mack of Lima; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
He was met at heaven’s gates by his parents and brothers Ted, Tom, Dan, and Paul.
David’s family will greet friends on Monday August 31, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home 360 East Center Street Marion, Ohio.
Memorial Contribution can be made in honor of David to the Marion Humane Society, Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital, or Heartland Hospice.
