Alice “Jean” Mitchell age 84 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Saturday April 16, 2016 at the Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, Fla.
She was born April 16, 1932 in Burlington, Colorado to the late William Victor and Ruth (Garrett) Mitchell.
Jean was employed as Secretary/Treasurer with Matthews Ford in Marion, Ohio where she had been employed some 60 years. She has been in the Automobile Industry for 65 years. She began her career with the Short Automobile Dealership in Kenton, Ohio which then moved to Marion and became Kennedy Ford to Matthews Kennedy to Matthews Ford.
Jean is survived by a sister, Sarah Gettys of Sun Lakes, Arizona, a brother, Marvin Mitchell of East Liberty, Ohio and three nieces and four nephews.
Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a sister, Helen McDowell.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday April 30, 2016 at 12:30 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio. Officiating the service will be Rev. Nathan McBeth. A Graveside burial will take place also on Saturday at 2:30 P.M. at the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
