Donald Thomas Jones, age 75, of Marion passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio.
Donald was born in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Delmar Thomas and Ida Muriel (Walter) Jones. Donald graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1959. Donald married Gloria Brown on October 11, 1986 who survives at home. Donald enjoyed watching TV especially sports and anything DIY related. He and Gloria were foodies; they loved to travel to Columbus enjoying as many restaurants as possible. During Donald’s working years he was employed at Eaton, Dana Corporation, and later retired from Sypris Corporation working in their Tool and Die department.
In addition to Gloria, Donald is survived by one sister, Brenda Jones and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by death by his parents and sister, Pat Fraizer.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Homes, 347 W Center St., from 12 noon until 1 pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Marion Cemetery with Pastor Steve deWeber officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in Donald’s honor to the Marion Area Humane Society.
