I look around me
I see violence, blood, destruction.
I look around me
I see hatred, prejudice, judgment.
I look around me
I see fear, doubt, distrust.
I look around me
I see depression, abandonment, hurt.
Around me
Tears fall, death overcomes, sorrows abound,
People cry out.
So I look up.
I look up
I see love, sacrifice, promises.
I look up
I see redemption, restoration, peace.
I look up
I see gifts, joy, security.
I look up
I see the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
I am not alone when
I look up.
I look up
And fall to me knees in worship.
