He Did It All For Me

Everyday the you can read in the local newspaper various stories of challenges that people are faced with.  In its pages you may find pictures a car wreck that caused a traffic jam, or maybe it's a moving story of child born with a rare terminal illness.  Possibly a house fire that leaves an entire family homeless.  Regardless of the story, you can be assured that there's always a lot more that goes on beyond the article that what was printed in the news.  Long after the story has become old and the paper has been recycled, the consequences to those challenges remain. The victims are still left coping with how to deal with the loss of a love one or where to start the process of rebuilding their life. Maybe it is the daily cost and struggle of caring physically challenged child.  Nonetheless, through these windows into the human heart we are allowed to see the fortitude of those who have resolved to endure the hardships and heartaches of life.  By their actions we are allowed to see that at some point they have decided that their circumstances won't own them, but that they will deal with their troubles as they come.

Though one would still wonder, what's the true secret to their determination? What is the source of their enduring stamina? Why is it that after having been dealt the "hard knocks of life" they still go on living productively? Could it be that they have they come to the conclusion that God doesn't create the problems in their life, but instead he helps them through their problems with his peace and comfort. Possibly it's because they have secured a victory while in the middle of a tragedy by proclaiming "He Did It All For Me."  Claiming the small victories while in the middle of a personal tragedy because of God's loving help.  While would seem normal to point an angry finger at Heaven shout "you did this to me" instead they have said with a thankful heart "He did it all for me"

This is the heart's song of those of held their dying baby's hand for the last time, all the while thanking God for the short time that he sent an angel in to their life.
It's the somber cry of a former alcoholic, who after taking someone's life due his drunk driving found forgiveness and restoration. With his mouth he confesses "He did It all for me"  proclaiming God's mercy to him for the world to hear.

People who have suffered like this know that they don't have a God who is without sympathy to their pain. Consider the torment the Father went through watching his Son endure rejection and death at the hands of his own creation...man.  The Word says with a "voice from heaven" God claimed Jesus as his son whom he loved.  With that proclamation, God assures that those who have endured heartache will find hope in the knowledge that it was the Fathers will that the Son should come to the world as a sacrifice, that all humanity might proclaim in whatever circumstance of life that they are in that "He did it all for me"
