My Life as a Rabbai
04-22-2008 4:57 pm

Believe it or not, .....I am an ordained Messionic Jewish Rabbi.

On Good Friday evening, The Shepherd's Fellowship and Shabbat Yeshua had combined services. It was an awesome time of focusing on Christ in traditional literagy, dance, and worship. We went through the Sadder supper that Jesus was partaking of during the Last Supper. It was a great and powerful night.

Several of the people including Rabbai Butler, his wife, and several of thier elders came to worship with us at church for Resurrection Sunday. When he got there, he asked if I would let hime have 10 minutes to do a presentation for our church.

Mark spent time encouraging the church, shared his testimony, was supportive of me and then asked if I and some of his leaders would join him on the stage. I suspected he was wanting to bless our church by praying over me and the church.

To my surprise, they had felt led to ordain me as a Messionic Rabbai! They placed my new yamika on my head, my new shawl around my neck, they laid hands on me, and prayed over and ordained me. It was a huge surprise and very humbling. Still haven't really processed it all through but thought I would share.....

By the way, Mark is Africian American so he told ever one in the church that they can call me the White Rabbai. He amuses me. Wink
