I am going to be honest that I though "Facing the Giants" was good for a "Christian" movie. Great message but at times the acting was a little half/ half and the writing suffers if you compare it to "normal" movies from Hollywood. I also a bug Kirk Cameron fan as far as his commitment to the Lord but half/ half on his acting skills.

That all said, I was blown away by both the movie and Kirk Cameron in "Fireproof". Will it win Oscars? Nope. However, it was very well done, humerous and touching, and Kirk Cameron dialed the acting up a notch. All this to say that I encourage all who can to support it when it comes out opening weekend (a very important time for movie support) in the theaters in late September).

That all said, I mostly started this blog to tell you about something happened right before the movie started last night. Christian recording artist, John Waller came out to perform the song "While I'm Waiting" which is on his debut CD as well as the "Fireproof" soundtrack.

Now I have been in a little bit of a holding pattern for awhile now (with the store, the church, and just with life) where I have been praying, praying, praying some more and waiting. I needed some encouragement from God that it's all in His hands. Not that I doubted but a little reminder would be nice. Here's the lyrics of the song that touched my heart last night.....
