The American Red Cross – Marion County Chapter – is looking to add helpful, dependable people to the ranks of its volunteers. Persons willing to share their time and skills are needed to assist the organization, especially in the areas of Disaster Services and Blood Services.
Prospective volunteers are encouraged to attend a meeting on Thursday, April 28, at The Alber Red Cross Center, 1849 Summerset Drive. The program will start at 7:00 p.m. and last about an hour. It will include a discussion of some of the many opportunities available. At the end of the session, volunteer applications will be provided to anyone who wishes to be considered.
In general, candidates should be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid Ohio driver’s license and be willing to undergo a background check. Training needed to perform specific duties will be provided by the Chapter. Adults without licenses or younger individuals interested in volunteering may contact the Chapter to discuss their specific circumstances.
