The Marion Police Department is looking for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man early Tuesday morning. Police were alerted to the incident by Marion General Hospital after a man came to the emergency room at 3:30am with knife wounds.
Officers were able to speak with the 32-year-old man and learned the stabbing occurred in the 300 block of North Prospect Street in Marion. The man was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for treatment. Police say the man’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
Investigators say the stabbing took place after an altercation at the rear of a home in the area. The suspect is described as a tall, thin, black male wearing a black coat.
