The YMCA, Marion General Hospital, Nucor Steel, and Marion Public Health are teaming up to hold the second annual Health and Safety Fair at the YMCA, 645 Barks Road East, on Thursday, September 15, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. The event is open to the public and the activities are free.
Food and entertainment will be on the grounds outside with bouncing playlands for the kids, and pony rides. There will be Lots of prizes and give-a-ways by the vendors, free health screenings and demos as well.
Also during the event will be the Marion County Humane Society, Marion City Fire Department's Smoke House, fingerprinting and photo IDs, tours of the YMCA, a blood glucose and cholesterol screening (fasting eight hours before is recommended), a flu shot clinic, blood pressure screening, safety information, and much more.
Low cost refreshments will be available.
