Marion General Wins National Top Performer Award

For the fourth year in a row, Marion General Hospital is proud to announce that it has once again been named a Summit Award winner by Press Ganey Associates, Inc. This prestigious award recognizes top performing facilities that sustain the highest level of customer satisfaction for three or more consecutive years, and is the health care satisfaction industry’s most coveted symbol of achievement presented annually.

To receive the award, Marion General’s Infusion Clinic and Cardiac Cath Lab maintained a patient satisfaction ranking in the 95th percentile or higher over the past six years. This means the hospital ranks in the top five percent or higher in the nation for providing excellent patient satisfaction.

“Working together is the foundation for our success at Marion General Hospital,” says John Sanders, hospital president. “As a hospital family that takes pride in every aspect of our patients’ care, from registration to nursing, housekeeping to security, and physicians to volunteers, we are proud to be recognized for the results that our teamwork provides.”

Kimlyn Queen, director of imaging services and cardiac cath lab, adds, “The personalized care that our staff provides, and the relationships they establish with their patients, each other, and their co-workers throughout the hospital, continues to allow us to focus on providing the highest quality of care.”

Press Ganey Associates, Inc. currently partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities, including over 40 percent of U.S. hospitals, to measure and improve the quality of the care they provide. The company offers the largest comparative customer feedback databases, actionable data, solution resources, and unparalleled customer service.

“The infusion clinic staff recently embraced the opening of our new Wound Care Clinic,” says Evie Dean, director of perioperative services. “Their willingness to expand their horizons and do whatever it takes to help all of our patients, allows the pride in their work to shine through. They have continued to maintain excellent customer service with their infusion and IV access service lines as well.”
