Lucille A. Gregory age 70 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday December 18, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.

She was born November 2, 1940 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Joseph and Hazel Catherine (Pierce) Simmers.

Eddie C. Shelton, age 72, of Marion, died Saturday afternoon, December 18, 2010, surrounded by his loving family following a two month battle with cancer.

On February 19, 1938, Eddie was born in Hardy, Kentucky, the son of the late George and Nellie (McGlothlin) Shelton. The family moved to Marion in the early forties where Eddie would graduate from Marion Harding High School in 1956.

Edna “Jeri” Geraldine Beveridge passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at Marion Manor at the age of 97.

Edna was born July 18, 1913 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Charles and Dora Jane (Ayres) Rosser. In September 1933 she married Howard Leroy Beveridge in Lancaster. Howard passed away in 1978.

Vivian Joy Houpt, age 87, of Marion died late Thursday night, December 16, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home.

Watt Bishop, age 81, passed away Friday afternoon at Community Healthcare Center. There will be no services for Mr. Bishop. Cremation has been arranged by the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home.

John W. Burris Jr., age 29, passed away early Friday morning at Grant Medical Center surrounded by the many people in his family who loved him dearly.

He was born November 8, 1981 in Marion to John Burris Sr. and Jane (Crockett) Burris who survive along with his younger brother; Izaak Burris and his two year old son; Kayden.

Lula “Granny” Hess, age 89 of Centerburg went home to be with her Lord Friday, December 17, 2010 at St. Ann’s Hospital.

She was born in Perry County, Kentucky on August 20, 1921 to the late  Jasper and Armilda (Branson) Young.

Milton R. Fox age 89 was born August 20, 1921 in his rural Prospect home to the late John Harvey Fox and Ida E. (Schuster) Fox. He passed away early December 16, 2010 with his family by his side to his heavenly home.

Steven W. Pickett, age 38, of Fredericktown, Ohio, and formerly of Linton, Indiana, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday evening, December 13, 2010, at his residence.

On March 1, 1972, Steve was born in Linton, Indiana, the son of the late Wilson and Carolyn Mae (Marshall) Pickett.

Lewis S. Young Sr., 66, of New Port Richey, FL., and formerly of Marion, died December 5. He is survived by: sons Russell, Lewis Jr., Ty; daughters Stephanie, Kimberly, many loving grandchildren, stepdaughter Tanya, & loving family; stepson Nelson & loving family.
