As of mid-April all recycling drop-off containers will be in be in place on a full-time basis.

During this time of transition the schedules have been adjusted. Officials apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for county residents.

Recyclables may also be taken directly to Sims Brothers, Inc. (South Prospect Street) Monday through Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday 8am-12noon.  General Recycling (Bartram Avenue) accepts steel and aluminum items Monday through Friday 8am-4:15pm.

These local drop-offs are funded by the DKMM Solid Waste District and processed by Sims Brothers.  Marion County’s recycling collections give area residents an opportunity to dispose of their recyclables by accepting aluminum and steel cans, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, magazines, glass jars and bottles, and #1 and #2 plastic.  Please rinse food receptacles and break down cardboard boxes.

Recycling preserves natural resources, saves energy, reduces pollution, conserves landfill space, helps prevent climate change, and promotes sustainable economic development.
