Musical Production Holding Auditions

Star Players, Inc. welcome actors, vocalists, and musicians to be part of open auditions for their annual summer musical production, Annie Get Your Gun, Saturday & Sunday, June4- 5, from 2-5 p.m. at the Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Avenue, Upper Sandusky, Oh.

Annie Get Your Gun is the story of Ohio legendary sharpshooter Annie Oakley and her rise to fame with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.  Romance blossoms between Oakely and expert rifleman Frank Butler. Set in the late 1800s, this classic Broadway musical production has a host of Irving Berlin songs including, “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Anything You Can Do,” “I Got the Sun in the Morning,” and “Doin What Comes Natur’lly”.

Those auditioning are asked to bring sheet music of a prepared song, Broadway show preferred, songs from the show are welcomed. An accompanist will be provided. (no CD's/background tracks). Those auditioning will also be asked to read from the script.

Show dates for Annie Get Your Gun are July 29, 30, & August 5, 6 at 7:30 p.m. July 31 & August 7 at 2 p.m. The show will be directed by Scott Persinger; assistant director, Wayne Rowe; and music director Thom Richards.

Looking for men, women, and children of all ages, lead roles include:  Annie Oakley, Frank Butler, Charlie Davenport, Dolly Tate, Buffalo Bill, Chief Sitting Bull, Pawnee Bill, Mr. Wilson, 4 children’s roles, and numerous chorus roles.
