Marion Police Awarded Drug Prevention Grant

The Marion Police Department was notified recently that they have been awarded a Drug Use Prevention Grant from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for $5,294.25.

Chief Tom Bell says the grant will help provide education to Harding High School student about the dangers and consequences of illegal drug use.

Bell says this grant also illustrates the continued commitment of the Marion Police Department to be fiscally responsible through constant attempts to find alternative funding sources for important programs offered by the department.
