Norman E. Howell age 87 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born August 17, 1922 in Lima, Ohio to the late Robert E. and Gladys (Lee) Howell.
On September 17, 1999 he maried Melissa M. (Gamber) Howell, she survives in Marion.
Norman was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII, and was employed at the Marion Depot as a security guard for a year before his retirement.
Norman is survived by his wife, Melissa Howell of Marion, OH., two sons, Dan (Heather) Howell of Marion, OH., Phillip Howell of CA., two daughters, Debbie (Mike) Wagner of Columbus, OH., Charolette (Fred) Lauzer of Columbus, OH., 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a sister, Meltha Cobb of MI., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, David Howell and Doug Howell, a daughter, Diane Six, two brothers, Clarence Howell and Charles Howell, a sister, Donna Dyer and a granddaughter, Christina Dayton.
Funeral services for Norman will be Friday, July 2, 2010 10 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Barkley Slone officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
