Mildred M. Morris age 94 of Norton, Ohio, formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday September 2, 2012 at the Pebble Creek Nursing Home in Akron, Ohio.
She was born August 24, 1918 in Troy Township, Radnor, Ohio. She was the sixth of eight children.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 11 and was baptized soon afterward.
She graduated from Radnor High School, attended one year at Bob Jones University, worked as a secretary in a lawyer’s office in Marion for several years before becoming a secretary at Whirlpool in Marion, Ohio, from which she retired in 1980.
She is a member of Oak Knoll Baptist Chapel and served as a Sunday School teacher and church pianist for many years.
In 2007 she moved to Norton, Ohio to live with a niece and nephew-in-law, and later moved to Pebble Creek Senior Care in Summit county.
Mildred is preceded in death by parents Bert and Leona Morris; brothers John L. (Helen) Morris; Richard B. (Betty Jane) Morris; Burton Morris; Edwin Morris; and sisters Myrtle (Rex) Cosgrove; Lucille (Dempsey) Carwile; and Emma Jane (Earl) Bumgarner; and two nephews, Joseph and Larry Morris.
Mildred is survived by 2 nieces and 3 nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mildred will be Saturday September 8, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Allen Miller. Burial will follow in the Radnor Cemetery in Radnor, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
