Lois A. Pennington, 68, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on May 17, 1942 to Mendell E. and Abenelle G. (Brown) Jaynes in Oak Hill, Ohio.
Lois was married on October 14, 1977 to William J. Pennington. She worked as an X-Ray Technician and transporter at Marion General Hospital. Prior to working at the hospital, Lois worked for Tecumseh Products. She enjoyed cake decorating, gardening, her friendships and socializing, horseback riding and most importantly was that she enjoyed life and her family.
Lois is survived by her son, John B. (Tracy) Pennington of Zanesville; daughter, Jane Ann (Andy) Phillips of Washington Court House; mother, Abenelle G. (Brown) Woolum of Marion; sister, Linda K. Adkins of Marion; grandchildren, Kaylee, William, Shaun, and Casey; and nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Pennington on April 4, 2004; and her father, Mendell E. Jaynes.
Friends may visit prior to and following the memorial service on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, 347 West Center Street, Marion, with Reverend Dwight Hord officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Marion Area Humane Society.
