Malisa Grace Preston, age 32 of Prospect passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the Emergency Room of Grady Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 25, 1980 in Columbus to Bruce and Lucinda “Cindy” (Pendleton) Preston of Prospect.
A graduate of Elgin High School in 1998, she had worked as a nurse’s aide. With a passion for reading, she was generous and helped whenever she was able. Malisa collected cookbooks and assisted as a teacher’s aid at Elgin South.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her beloved daughter: Lexy Davenport of Prospect, her companion and daughter’s father: Randy Davenport, brother Adam Preston of Marengo, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her sister: Elizabeth “Beth” Preston in 2010.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware, where services will follow Saturday 10:00 a.m., interment will take place at Kingwood Memorial Park.
After the services attendees are invited back to the Snyder-Rodman Community Room for a time of food and fellowship.
