Robert L. “Robby” Tomlin, age 37, of Marengo, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the Medical Center of Newark.
On December 26, 1974, Robby was born in Delaware, Ohio, the son of Gwen E. (Davis) Tomlin and the late Robert L. Tomlin.
He graduated from Highland High School in the Class of 1993. He also attended Ohio Northern University and Walsh University.
Robby worked in customer service for Discover and also took reservations for Red Roof Inn in their call center. He was forced to quit working after being diagnosed with a seizure disorder and Multiple Sclerosis.
In high school Robby was very involved in 4-H and the marching band, where he played the tenor saxophone. In his spare time he enjoyed going trail riding on his horses and watching TV, especially The Big Bang Theory, X-Files, and X-Men.
Despite all of his illnesses, Robby had a wonderful sense of humor and was able to make light of any situation.
Robby will be dearly missed by his mother, Gwen E. Tomlin of Marengo; two sisters: Janis Persinger of Marengo and Elizabeth (Paul Long) Scaff of Mount Gilead; seven nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gerry Persinger.
A graveside service will be held for Robby at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Marengo Cemetery with Rev. Beverly Hall officiating.
