Turning Point Seeks Assistance for Clients

Turning Point, an agency working to prevent and help victims of domestic violence, says that even though their Adopt-A-Family sponsorship deadline has passed, you can still help in other ways.

The agency says they ensure that clients who are currently in the shelter or those who have moved out and are living independently and violence free have gifts for their families.

“Children in the shelter at Christmas often wonder if Santa will find them,” explained Kristi Butler, Community Education Coordinator for Turning Point. “Seeing gifts outside their doors on Christmas morning is magical. You can be part of that magic.

Turning Point is seeking general gift or cash donations. Butler says items such as new clothing, gift cards, household items and new toys (no stuffed animals, please) would give a family in need so much to be thankful for this holiday season.

If you are interested in donating any items, call (740) 382-8988.
