Margaret C. Layton age 88 of Delaware, Ohio and formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday December 2, 2012 at the Delaware Court Health Care Center.
She was born January 27, 1924 in Prospect, Ohio to the late Herbert H. and Loah E. (Winning) Clark.
Margaret had worked at the former B.F. Goodrich Co. as a braider. She also was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, and at one time was involved with Marion Senior Citizens, and Marion Community Action, all in Marion, Ohio.
Margaret was a former resident of the Marion Towers. She was an avid O.S.U. football and basketball fan, and she loved her snoopy’s. She also loved to crochet. The family said she was a real people person.
Margaret leaves behind a daughter and two sons; Judy A. (Gary) Snyder of Delaware, Ohio, and Jerry A. Dripps, and Larry F. Koehler. She is also survived by two special grandchildren and two special great-granddaughters; Kym (Dan) Wemple, and Chris (Janet) Snyder, and Emily and Haley Wemple.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers; Evelyn Paupard, Donald C. “Jack” Clark, and Herbert Clark, Jr.
There will be a graveside service at a later date for Margaret in Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Calling Hours will not be observed.
