Donald G. Syrokosz age 74 of Westerville, Ohio and formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday December 1, 2012 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born January 14, 1938 in Detroit, MI, to the late Andrew and Catherine Syrokosz.
He was married to Carolyn Syrokosz and she preceded him in death in 1998.
Donald was retired as an engineer in telecommunications with AT&T International then with Qwest Communication. He was also a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Donald is survived by his life partner, Mary Kay Nichols. Donald also leaves behind a son, Terry (Kathy) Syrokosz of LaRue, Ohio, granddaughter, Catherine Syrokosz, two sisters; Eleanor Ostroski of Sterling, MI., Florence Turner of Henderson, Nevada, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald touched many people in many ways and would anything for anybody. He will be missed by other extended family and friends.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded also in death by two sisters; Mary and Angie, and three brothers; Eddie, Stan, and Adam.
There will be a Memorial Service for Donald on Saturday December 8, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio. Officiating the service will be Rev. Michael Cramer. Burial will take place at a later date in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 P.M.
