Carol L. Indoe Moore, 61, of Prospect

Carol L. Indoe MooreCarol L. Moore, age 61, of Prospect, died Wednesday evening, December 12, 2012, at the Marion General Hospital surrounded by her loving family following a brief and unexpected illness.

On December 24, 1950, Carol was born in Marion General Hospital, the oldest of two daughters of Richard and Sally Ann (Fisher) Indoe of Marion.  She started in the Marion City Schools system, and graduated from River Valley High School in the Class of 1969.

Very organized and detail oriented, Carol had a knack for being a bookkeeper, which she did for 17 years for the Marion Clerk of Courts until she was no longer able due to her health.

One night in 1990, Carol met her soul mate and dancing partner, Richard “Dick” Moore, while dancing at the Courtesy Budget Inn.  They shared a great rhythm together both on the dance floor and in their lives together.  They were married on December 4, 1995, and have cherished every minute of their time together.  She spoiled Dick in every way, as she “treated him like a king”…he will forever miss her.

A woman of faith, Carol was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.

For many years, Carol and Dick loved going to the races at Mid-Ohio Raceway, and she also enjoyed watching indy cars races any chance she got.

Most important of all to Carol was her family.  No day was complete for her until she was able to talk to her mother, Sally Ann, and sister, Connie, on the phone.  She loved and cared dearly for her niece, Sara, and nephew, Ryan.  She also always sent them cards for every occasion, underlining the most important points to give emphasis to how much she cared.

A close second to her family, were her four cats whom she referred to as “her kids”: Zoe, Tony, Sweety Pie, and Nikki.

Having a heart of gold, Carol was one of the most compassionate, nurturing, loving, and optimistic people you could have ever met.  She also will be missed by for silly sense of humor.

She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, Dick Moore of Prospect; her parents: Dick and Sally Ann Indoe of Marion; her sister, Connie (Robert) King of Marion; a niece and nephew: Sara King (Casey) Williams and Ryan King; a great nephew and niece: Cameron and Cassidy Williams; and her mother-in-law, Betty Moore of Prospect.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Junior Moore.

Her family will greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion.  Services honoring her life will also be held there on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Dan Kiger officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery in Richwood.

Memorial contributions may be sent in care of the Marion Area Humane Society, 2264 Richland Rd., Marion, Ohio 43302.
