William Finnegan and Jim Slagle will be sworn in as Marion County Common Pleas Judges this Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 3:00pm at the Marion County Courthouse. A brief reception will follow. The public is invited to attend.
Both Finnegan and Slagle were elected as Judges of the General Division of the Marion County Common Pleas Court last month. Finnegan’s term starts on Jan. 2. Slagle’s term starts Jan. 1. Slagle will be replacing current Common Pleas Judge Robert Davidson. Finnegan has served for eight years as a common pleas judge and was re-elected to a new term.
The Judges of the General Division of the Common Pleas Court preside over felony criminal cases and major civil cases.
