Arlen H. Glenn age 79 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at his residence.
He was born November 15, 1933 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Howard A. and Elizabeth L. (Jones) Glenn.
In 1957 he married Joyce Willie, he then was remarried to Marilyn M. Wren Glenn.
Arlen was employed at Parker Hanifen / Goodrich/ Strato-Flex as a machine operator for 37 1/2 years, he retired in 1996 and was also a Deputy Sheriff for Marion County.
He was a U.S. army veteran serving from 1953-1956 during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Intercontinental Church of God for many years.
Arlen is survived by his wife, Marilyn Glenn of Marion, Oh., daughters, Laura R. (Andrew) Rosko of WA., Amy L. Henderson of Nelsonville, Oh., Carol L. (Shawn) Walker of Springboro, Oh., Collen S. (William) Gibbs of Baltimore, Oh., two step daughters, Charlene K. (Jay) of Sanford, NC., Marsha Thomas of Marion, Oh., a step son, Steven (Kathy) Wren of Nevada, Oh., 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Wren, a brother, Wray Glenn, a sister, Ruth Ann Lust and a grandson.
Funeral Services for Arlen will be Monday, January 14, 2013 @ 1PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Minister Vern Steury and Tony Buchert officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery with the Marion County United Veterans Council holding a military service. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2- 6 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
