Christina “Chrissy” Dawn Webb, age 48, of Mount Gilead, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday evening, January 9, 2013, at the Morrow County Hospital from pneumonia following a nearly twenty year battle with multiple sclerosis.
On August 8, 1964, Chrissy was born in Mount Gilead, the daughter of Linda Denman and Larry Webb. She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 1982, where she was active in the band’s color guard and played on the softball team.
Shortly following graduation, Chrissy found a job she truly loved that she looked forward to going to every day at Cosmo Plastics in Mount Gilead, where she was a press operator and helped with quality control. She worked there until she was no longer able due to her health.
Giving her life to the Lord, Chrissy was a faithful member of the Harmony Baptist Church, where she had been active in their youth group.
With a love for the outdoors, Chrissy especially enjoyed fishing in her younger days, fishing for hours upon hours. She also was very artistic, loving to draw and make art.
Most important of all to Chrissy was her family, cherishing each and every one of them. She was the “best daughter”, “best sister” and “best friend” you could ever have.
Chrissy will be dearly missed by her mother, Linda Denman of Mount Gilead; father, Larry (Jean) Webb of Bellville; two sisters and one brother: Beth (Rich Vitcusky) Kuhn of Bellville, Kathy (Jeremy) Schwartz of Mount Gilead, and Mathew Denman of Mount Gilead; five nieces and nephews: Samantha Denman, Bryanna Postell, Brock Denman, Jordon Postell, and Alec Kuhn; and two aunts: Vickie (Michael) McKinney of Mount Gilead, and Diane Rinehart of Bellville; and many very loved one’s in the Denman family.
She was preceded in death by her “Daddy”, Charles Denman; maternal grandparents: Lewis and Brenice Smith; and paternal grandparents: Mabel and Cruz Webb.
Chrissy’s family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Services celebrating her homecoming will also be held there on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with Pastors Kelly Melvin and Jason Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church, 5142 Co. Rd. 25, Marengo, OH 43334.
