Lenore F. Asher-Rawlins age 87 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Kingston Residence of Marion.
She was born February 25, 1925 in Somerste, Ky. to the late Robert and Marinda Surber.
On September 21, 1942 she married Ray D. Asher, he preceded her in death on January 7, 1991.
Lenore and her husband Ray, where co owners of Asher Lumber from 1974-1991, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her her son, Stephen R. (Margaret) Asher of Marion, Oh., two grandchildren, Daniel (Carolyn) Asher, April (Karl) Whit, four great grandchildren, Seth, Stephanie, Charles and Logan, three step great grandchildren, Danielle, Mathew and Cynthia, her sister in law, Marilyn Surber of Larue, Oh., two nephews, Dale Surber of Marion, Oh., Robert Surber of Kirkpatrick, Oh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Robert, John and Harold Surber.
Funeral Services for Lenore will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 @ 2 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Middleton officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 12 – 2 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
