Kathryn L. Everson, nee Snell formerly of Marion, OH and Doylestown, PA, died February 19, 2013 at Brighton Gardens of Washington Township, Centerville, OH.
Born January 18, 1918 in East Orange, NJ. Married Sydney C.G. Everson, a United Methodist minister, February 26, 1941.
The Eversons served churches in Delaware, Columbus, Centerville, Dayton and Marion Ohio. In addition to admirably discharging her duties as a minister’s wife, Mrs. Everson worked for Wright-Patterson AFB, the United Methodist Church, Columbus District and held successful professional positions with General Telephone of Ohio.
Always an advocate of education, Mrs. Everson in her 60’s earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree from Ohio Dominican University.
Predeceased by her husband, Mrs. Everson is survived by her children and their spouses: Joseph and Joan Everson of Kettering, OH; Sydney Gillette “Gill” Everson of Centerville, OH; Kathryn and Kenneth Kugel, of Doylestown, PA; David and Helene Everson of Marion, OH; and Dr Philip Everson and his wife Dr. Kathleen Corrigan of New York, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses: Elizabeth and John Baxla of Kettering, OH; John David and Kathleen Everson of Kettering, OH; Rebecca and Andrew Payton of Winston-Salem, NC; Jonathan and Melissa Kugel of Doylestown, PA; and by her great grandchildren Kathryn Baxla, Joseph Baxla, Grace Payton and Audrey Payton. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Syrilla Everson of Hamilton, OH.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brighton Gardens and Hospice of Dayton for their compassionate care of Mrs. Everson.
Visitation hours will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2013 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion and 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 249 East Center St., Marion. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM at the Epworth United Methodist Church, Marion OH.
