Rachel A. Albright, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Marion General Hospital. She was 82.
Rachel was born on August 9, 1930 to the late Carl and Leona (Powell) McCumber in Wellston, OH.
On September 18, 1946, she married George E. Albright. Rachel worked for 10 years at Duke & Duchess.
Besides her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, George, her brother, Bill McCumber, and two sisters, Opal Bennett and Dorothy Smith. She is survived by her children: Joyce A. (Bruce) Gilliam, Susan E. (Terry) McClure, Nancy E. (George) Withrow, and George W. Albright; 10 grandchildren: Lisa Howe, Richard Howe, Brian King, Randy (Sherri) King, Brandon (Julie) McClure, Shanda (Jerry) Held, Jennifer (BJ) Gruber, George (Sarah) Albright, Tiffany (Earl) Sayre, and Dustin (Melissa) Albright; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson arriving in May; and one brother, Jim (Janet) McCumber of Nelsonville, OH.
At the family’s request, no calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston. The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
