Mazie LeeAnn Eckle, 81, of Marion

Mazie LeeAnn Eckle, 81, of Marion, Ohio died Thursday, March 21, 2013 from an extended illness.

Mazie was born March 8, 1932 in Amanda (Fairfield County) Ohio to the late Homer and Samantha (Reed) Hettinger, also being the last survivor of ten, with nine being brothers.

Married in Lancaster, Ohio on October 18, 1953 to James H. Eckle who survives, along with two daughters, Dianna L. Eckle of Marion, Oh., Denise A. Swain of Marion, Oh., son in law, Scott S. Swain, two grandchildren, Curtis J. Wilson of Marion, Oh., Christa L. Wilson of Marion, Oh., one great granddaughter, Amiya Danielle Wilson.

Mazie was formerly employed at Marion General Hospital as a surgical assistant and was a member of Prospect Street United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services for Mazie will be Monday, March 25, 2013 @ 11AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Nancy Goulet officiating. Burial will follow at Claridon Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, March 25, 2013 from 10 – 11 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
