Dorothy Louise Hart, 90, of Marion

Dorothy Louise Hart age 90 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Friday March 22, 2013 at Partners of Marion Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 11, 1922 in Newark, Ohio to the late Fredrick and Bernice (Patterson) Davis.

She was married to Robert D. Haskins and he preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a member of Berean Baptist Church, and worked for 37 years at the Smith Clinic for Frederick G. and Philip W. Smith as a nurse anesthetist. Dorothy was a very talented artist and was responsible for the illustrations in the Newark High School Year Book. She also was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII where she was a 2nd Lieutenant as an RN stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington.

Surviving Dorothy is a son, Scott (Marcelita) Haskins of Columbus, Ohio, and two grandchildren; Marc Haskins of New York City and Maya Haskins of San Francisco. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne W. Davis.

There will be no services at this time for Dorothy. A graveside service will take place at a later date in the Caledonia Cemetery. If any one wants to make a donation in Dorothy’s memory, they can be made to S.P.C.A., the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
