Delores Joy (Owens) Jordan, age 81, of Marion, went to be with her Lord on March 30, 2013. Born to the late David and Virginia (Richardson) Owens who preceded her in death on January 19, 1932. She married the late Albert Hayes Stanton Jordan on November 12, 1963 in Dekalb, Il who also precedes her in death.
She is preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer Ann (Jordan) Cole and a granddaughter Jennifer Dee Jordan.
She is survived by one brother John D. (Mary) Owens, daughters: Lori R. Hummel of Marion, Pamela (Matt) Faivre of Dekalb, Il., grandchildren Samantha (Kyle) Stewart, Jordan (Nikki) Pierce, Lucas Pierce, Charles (Georgie) Hummel Jr., Zachery Thomas and Devon Hummel all of Marion and Naomi and Trevor Faivre of Dekalb, Il. And 5 great grandchildren Austin Stewart, Duryan (Goldberg) Jordan, Bentley Stewart, Piper Hummel and Peyton Pierce all of Marion.
She will be greatly missed by her family, but we also know she is in heaven with the one true love of her life that she loved since she was 15 years old. Her late husband said, “I love you here on earth and I will love you in heaven also. May they now rest in peace together as they have been reunited for eternity!”
A funeral will be held 11AM, Friday, April 5, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Pastor Doug Ford officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors are handing arrangements.
