Marion City Council will meet on Monday, April 8, 2013 to discuss a variety of topics, including the project proposals for the 2013 Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). Those projects will be presented during the Jobs and Economic Development Committee which will meet at 6:45 pm.
Following the committee meeting, the full City Council will meet at 7:30pm. Their agenda includes:
- Proclamation by Mayor Scott Schertzer recognizing Fair Housing Month and presented to Marion City/County Regional Planning;
- 2nd reading of the proposal to rezone 443 North State Street from an R-3 Multi-Family District to an C-1b, Neighborhood Shopping District. The area would be used as a parking lot for a proposed restaurant. A public hearing is scheduled for April 22, 2013;
- 2nd reading of a plan to change the permitted uses spelled out under a specific zoning code. This would allow Park Enterprise to store pipes and heavy equipment on a portion of their property on South Prospect Street. A public hearing is scheduled for April 22, 2013;
- Authorizing the City Auditor to pay a bill from the Marion Municipal Court and making the necessary re-appropriation in the Municipal Court Assistance Fund for the year ending December 31, 2013.
Marion City Council meets on the second floor of City Hall and all meetings are open to the public.
