The Harding Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will celebrate Administrative Professionals Week by sponsoring a luncheon and afternoon learning sessions on April 25, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at TRECA, 100 Executive Drive in Marion.
Keynote speaker will be Jonathan Michael Bowman. Mr. Bowman will be presenting “The Fine Art of People Power.” In this compelling, inspirational presentation, Jonathan uncovers three hidden benefits of your support system that can help you achieve this goal. This is the power of people in your lives. Bowman teaches how “People Power” helped propel him from homelessness as a child to becoming an accomplished attorney and award-winning leader. Plus, Jonathan’s message is made even more memorable by his powerful, fine art photography, which he uses as a metaphor to graphically illustrate key points. You will be emboldened to use your support system – not to merely surmount obstacles – but to ascend far beyond them into a future of success.
The afternoon seminar sessions will include Sam Marshall presenting “Tips for Google.” This presentation will take a look at many topics and teach the lesser known and unused tools that Google has to offer. These tools may change the way you look at information and can improve the way you find answers forever.
Harding Chapter member, Dena Glass, will present “Succession Planning and Career Development.” In this session, you will learn how career development discussions, updated job descriptions, effective Learning Management Systems, mentoring and other processes can help prepare someone to take over your duties so that you move into more responsible positions and advance your career.
The 2013 Administrative Professional Week theme is “Be the One.” Register for the luncheon session only for $15 or both the lunch/seminar portion, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for $45. For more information, call Bonnie Borders, CAP-OM at 740-223-3505.
