Donald Dwight “Jelly Bean” FasslerDonald Dwight “Jelly Bean” Fassler, age 73, left this world peacefully on Sunday morning, June 2, 2013 after an extended illness.

Don was born March 8, 1940, to Castoria (Wilson) and Willard A. Fassler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Ada Hessler and Margaret Davis, as well as his brothers Willard and Frank.

An avid drag racer for over 30 years, Don enjoyed this sport with his son and his family. He was employed at Tecumseh Products in the Maintenance Department and also did automatic transmission repair.

Surviving are his wife of over 52 years, Chris (Mahaffey) Fassler, son and daughter-in-law Curt and Janey, granddaughter and grand son-in-law Amanda and Reuben Blackburn. Also surviving are sisters Betty Spriggs and Thelma Wyant, brother-in-law Lloyd (Sharon) Mahaffey Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 8PM; Funeral services will be Thursday at the funeral home at 1PM with Charles Bowling officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Prairie Cemetery, Brush Ridge.

Donations may be made to the charity of choice.
