On Monday, April 19, at about 5:00pm, detectives with the MARMET-METRICH Drug Task Force observed the driver of a red Mustang in the 700 block of North Main Street in Marion. Detectives say the driver was allegedly involved in drug activity as they observed him.
MARMET detectives pulled the driver over in the 100 block of South State Street.
Detectives say the suspect, 26-year-old Phillip Kline of 6830 Ground Hog Pike LaRue, Ohio, was found in possession of two syringes, three baggies of powder heroin weighing .3 grams with a street value of $80, and other drug paraphernalia.
Kline was arrested for obstructing official business, possession of heroin, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug abuse instruments. Kline was transported to the Multi-County Jail pending his court appearance.
There was a female occupant in the vehicle also who was questioned, but released.
