Mary C. Schertzer age 88 of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born May 19, 1925 in Zansville, Ohio to the late Wesley V. and Golden E. (White) Kennedy.
On July 26, 1967 she married Bob Schertzer, he preceded her in death.
Mary was a member of Crosswood United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, David (Sue) Thompson of Marion, Oh., Jim (Stephanie) Schertzer of Marion, Oh., ten grandchildren, Candace Clegg, Kellie (David) Coy, David Thompson, Zac Rife, Scott (Ann) Schertzer, Chris (Christina) Schertzer and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen R. Rife, a brother, William R. Kennedy, a sister, Florence Cavey and a grandson, Wesley and Karen Schertzer.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 @ 10 AM at Crosswood United Methodist Church, 1551 Richland Rd. with Pastor Joe Ziraldo officiating. Burial will follow at Larue Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 24, 2013 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Crosswood United Methodist Church.
