Betty M. Coy-Denney, age 89, of Marion, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Kindred Nursing & Rehab of Marion.
She was born July 11, 1923, in Medina, Ohio, to the late Frederick M. and Lucille E. (Smith) Butdorf-Kline.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond C. Coy and is survived by her present husband, Dorsel E. Denney.
She previously worked as a beautician and owned Coy’s Beauty Shop.
Betty is also survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Gene) Love of Shelby, Ohio, son, Raymond C. (Sue) Coy, Jr., of Kentucky, step daughters, Karen, Joann, Juanita, Barb of Marion, and Pam of Richwood and their spouses, step-son Edward (Theresa) Denney of Marion, a brother Darl D. Kline of Ontario, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A son Gilbert F. “Buddy” Coy and 3 brothers Richard Klline, William and Robert Butdorf are deceased.
Betty was a member of Central Christian Church. She enjoyed butterflies and cats.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 1:30 PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors where friends may call 1 hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Radnor Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.gunderhallandfolk.com
