Angela M. Haberman, 86, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
Annie was born on December 9, 1926 in Marion, the daughter of the late Nelson G. and Mary (Snyder) Irvin.
She was a 1945 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a lifelong member of St. Mary Church, Marion.
She married William Haberman on February 15, 1948, and spent 50 years together raising their family with love. Willie died on December 8, 1998.
Both coming from large families, they raised seven children: Kathy (Tim) Taylor of Delaware, William J. (Mary Jo) of Columbus, Mark A. (Alana) of Dublin, Shannon of Delaware, Mary Alice (Don) Cheek of Cincinnati, Michael (Paula) of New Philadelphia and the late Charles M. Haberman.
Annie was the most loving, caring grandmother of the “original Annie’s Angels”: Mary Hughes of Delaware, Katie (Brent) Herdman of Marion, Wil (Amy) Haberman of Columbus, Wes (Tristan) Haberman of Columbus, Shanon Cheek of Columbus, Whitney (Joe) Ames of Aurora, OH, Andy Haberman of New Philadelphia, Abby Haberman of Nashville, TN, Michelle Cheek of Cincinnati, Steve (Maria) Haberman of Columbus, Bayley Haberman of Cleveland, Colleen Cheek of Columbus, and Zach Haberman of New Philadelphia.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Austin, Annie, Tess, Anthony, Maddie, Wyatt, and Kate, step great-grandchildren Brittani, Jordon, and Lauryn, step great-great grandchild, Trixie.
Annie is also survived by her beloved younger brother Bob (Nettie Ann) Irvin of Gainsville, FL, her dear friend and sister in law Shirley Marquis of Marion, brother in law Allen (Mary) Haberman of Batesville, MS, and many much-loved nieces and nephews from the Irvin and Haberman families.
Annie filled a home with so much love and laughter it was the center of our lives. Those who knew her and knew her family immediately became part of that love. Because of Annie and Willie, the Haberman house knew no strangers. All were embraced with a hug and a kiss. By her example, she taught her children and grandchildren to do the same.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Marion. Burial will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.
