Diane Buckner, 56, of Marion

Diane BucknerDiane Buckner age 56 of Marion passed away at her residence Friday, August 30, 2013.

Born  June 23, 1957 in Marion to  Glen Koons, who survives and Beverly Burke Douglas who preceded Diane in death.

Diane had previously worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.

She is survived by her husband Lonnie Buckner, Father Glen (Pat) Koons of Iberia, son, Lonnie Buckner Jr. of Virginia, daughter, Meghan Buckner of Marion, two brothers Glen Koons Jr. of Delaware, Bob Douglas of Marion, two sisters Debbie Dewolf of Richwood, Lisa Douglas of Marion, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Diane is preceded in death by her mother Beverly Burke Douglas, one son Nathan Buckner, nephew Allen Douglas, and stepfather Dale Douglas.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
