Joanne Marie Van Vlerah age 57 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday August 31, 2013 at her residence.
She was born February 18, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Emery and Eleanor (Holt) Russell.
On November 27, 1995 in Kenton, Ohio, she married Gae Edward Van Vlerah and he survives.
Joanne was an extremely loving wife and mother. She loved to cook. She also loved to make people happy and she loved to see them happy.
Besides her husband Ed, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Jeremy Kitts) Vargo of Columbus, Ohio, a son, Kevin Patrick of Paintsville, Ky., and a step-daughter, Toni Van Vlerah of LaRue, Ohio. One grandson survives as well as a brother, Larry Russell of Cleveland, Ohio, two sisters-in-law, Crystal Van Vlerah and Penny Allen both of Marion, Ohio, and a brother-in-law, Henry Van Vlerah also of Marion, Ohio.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Russell and a brother-in-law, Jeff Van Vlerah.
Funeral Services for Joanne will be Friday September 6, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dwight Hord. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Friday from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
