Mabel L. Young, age 43, of Marion, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her home. She was born in Marion, on July 30, 1970, to the late James M. Sr. and Hezel G. (Hesson) Young.
Mabel is survived by boyfriend and life partner of 20 years, Nelson Davis Sr., brothers, James M. (Sarah) Young Jr. of Green Camp and William W. (Sally) Young of Marion; sister, Jeanette Grandstaff of Marion, four nieces, six nephews, one great niece and numerous adoptive children and grandchildren. A brother, Raymond J. Young is deceased.
Mabel enjoyed people, time on her computer, yahtzee and uno.
Visitation will be held at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 2 to 5PM on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Monday, September 30, 2013 at Marion Enterprise Baptist Church with Pastor Paul McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
